For Codex Alimentarius’ 50th Anniversary, FAO wanted to explain the history of Trade and of Codex in one short animation.
Director D.McCormack at Flooded Cellar, the Executive Producer, decided to produce a mix-media video, so I developed a storyboard which included Stop Motion, 2D Animation, 3D Animation, Motion Graphics, and Video Montage.
I covered the roles of Art Director, Stop Motion Animator and Video Editor. As Art Director, I worked with animators S.Hiralal and D.Scali in creating the 3D, Typo and the Flash sequences. As Animator, I shot the Stop Motion sequences with Director of Photography D.Fonnesu and worked on the Rotoscope sequences. As Editor, I edited the Stop Motion and did the fist cut of the whole project, while the fine tunes were done by editor S.Mabey. The music was composed by K.Fraser.
The video was the head and tale of a reportage about Codex and its role in developing countries and in our society. It has been screened in July 2013 at FAO in occasion of the World Meeting for Codex Alimentarius 50th Anniversary.
